A Guide to Florida’s Upcoming Races

Race Season is just around the corner, and Camp USA is ready to go! Florida is lucky enough to be home to some of the best tracks in the Nascar circuit, and is why so many travel by RV to participate. So, if you are planning on attending the races this season, check out our must see guide below!

Ford EcoBoost

In just a couple of weeks, RV’s will be heading down to the city of Miami for the Ford Ecoboost 400. Not only will you be up close to the action at this legendary track, you will be able to witness three championship races within one weekend!

If you are looking to make more out of your weekend, we highly recommend grabbing passes to the FanVision Fan Zone. Here you can enjoy delectable lunch buffets, snacks, drinks and pre-race access to the pit. What could be better?

Rolex 24

The Rolex 24 has been a Nascar staple since 1962, and this year is no exception. This endurance race begins at sunrise, and does not end until sunrise the next day. That means you have plenty of time to take in the sights and enjoy all that Daytona International Speedway has to offer.

Planning on coming by RV? Great! The Geico Campground offers an incredible set up for tailgaters and race fans who are there for the action. With the length of the Rolex 24, this is a great option for those traveling with kids or big groups, but keep in mind it fills up fast.

Daytona 500

If you can’t make it to the Rolex 24, there is always the 2018 Daytona 500! Spanning over 6 decades, this event has brought us some of the best moments and wins in Nascar history. If you want to boost your experience, don’t forget about the UNOH Fanzone and Pre-Race Extravaganza.

By adding on either the Fanzone or Extravaganza tickets, you and your group will be able to get up close and personal with not only the cars, but the famous drivers who lead them. Keep in mind that the Daytona 500 has sold out the past two years, so the earlier you reserve your tickets and RV spot at the Geico Campground, the better.

Now that you have the race lineup for the next few months, it is time to reserve your Camp USA RV Rental! We have coaches for all budgets, and are ready to prep you for the tailgating experience of a lifetime!

's Guide to Fall RV Travel!

Camp USA’s Guide to Fall RV Travel!

The kids are heading back to school and summer cookouts may be coming to a close, but that doesn’t mean your RV adventures are over. Fall is one of our favorites times of the year, and for good reason. With the incredible foliage, college football games and racing events in abundance, there is plenty to do with friends & family… if you know where to go.

So, strap down those tailgating coolers and follow us on a journey to some of the best autumn events in 2017!

Stop #1 Miami University vs Florida State University

As a native Floridian you can’t help but enjoy college football, especially when they are Florida schools. This September is shaping up to be an epic display of college football starting with the Miami U and Seminoles game at the Doak S. Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee. Whether you are alumni or just a fan of the game, this rivalry matchup is sure to entertain.

As you may know, the only way to prep for the game is by taking part in the tailgating festivities, and traveling by RV is a must. This will give you and your friends an opportunity to keep the tailgate atmosphere alive after the game is done. Keep in mind that parking for RV’s at the Stadium is only available to booster members, but there are plenty of campgrounds nearby that cater to the college football fans.

Stop #2 Tennessee

With autumn comes incredible foliage. Although many RV travelers may think New England is home to some of the best foliage displays, they clearly have never traveled to Tennessee. The Great Smoky Mountains are one of the most well known areas for fall foliage and can be seen in a number of ways.

Driving your RV is one of the best ways to see a variety of colors throughout the scenic area, however it doesn’t make a fun trip for the driver. With an array of hiking paths throughout the Smoky Mountain terrain, this will probably be your best bet. From there you will not only submerge yourself in the surroundings, but will have an opportunity to take breathtaking photos from a higher vantage point.

Stop #3 Homestead Miami Speedway

The final stop on our Fall RV Tour is to one of our favorite racing spots in the country, Homestead Miami Speedway. November 19th marks the start of the Ford EcoBoost 400, 300 and 200. It is rare to be able to enjoy three Nascar Championships within one weekend, and is why race fans will be coming from all over to enjoy a slice of history.

When it comes to traveling for a Nascar Race, hitting the road by RV just makes sense. With the Geico Camping Grounds located inside the speedway gates, this will allow you to enjoy some of the best tailgating and camping conditions just steps from the track. Keep in mind spots fill up early, so you will need to grab your RV Camping Package ASAP.

Get Your RV Rental Ready for Race Season: Daytona & Miami

With just a few short weeks left until Daytona International Speedway’s coveted Coke Zero 400 race, it is time to get your RV ready for some of Nascar’s top races.

Known as the “World Center of Racing”, Daytona International Speedway draws in millions each year looking to be a part of Nascar history. The Coke Zero 400, previously known as the Coke 400 is the highlight of summer racing, and is why RV owners are prepping their vehicles for the event.

Equipped with multiple RV parks, on the premise and outside, the convenience of RV travel to Daytona Beach is at the peak of popularity. Why you ask? Because tailgating and travel to the white sandy beaches of Daytona in the luxury of an RV is like nothing else. For those who are looking to be near the action, you can now purchase a spot for your RV beside the track, making travel to the race as easy as a few steps. If your group is looking to sleep away from the action, Daytona is home to an abundance of RV parks that allow you to take on the other sites of Daytona including the beautiful beaches or the Living Legends Racing Museum.

Now, although Daytona International Speedway is the place to be this summer, we encourage all RV and racing fanatics to look forward to November’s racing schedule. The Coke Zero 400 race is one for the books, but the Ford Ecoboost 400 at the Homestead Track, will have Nascar enthusiasts making the trek down to Miami for front row spots and RV camping.

Like the Daytona International Speedway, the Homestead Miami Speedway caters to parties looking to be close to the action in the luxury of an RV. The Geico RV grounds offer incredible packages that include tram service, a convenience store, water, dump stations, 24 hour security and of course a welcome package. Taking on this Nascar season in your RV is sounding pretty good now, isn’t it?

Take a look at a few extra perks of RV Camping for the Daytona and Miami races.

#1 Close to the Action

The days of having to drive or find transportation to the busy racing speedways (Daytona & Homestead) are done. More parties are opting to camp their RV on the premise to be close to the action, while being able to get up and enjoy the festivities, instead of having to make the daily drive through traffic. Packages offered by Daytona International Speedway and Homestead Miami Speedway, make it easy for RV enthusiasts to have all the comforts they require, while having a one of a kind race experience.

#2 Comfort & Relaxation

Let’s face it the Florida sun is hot, and Nascar’s top summer events like the Coke Zero 400 means there are going to be a lot of people and a lot of heat. Having the option to take a break in the luxury of your RV, is one of the greatest perks of camping out near the speedway. With your own bathroom, bed and living area, your RV party can get away from the tracks to enjoy a little R&R without having to actually leave the premise.

#3 RV Community

If you own or have rented an RV in the past, you know that the community of campers is vast and welcoming. One of the many reasons why Nascar fans travel by RV is to tailgate and enjoy the company of other race enthusiasts. When camping your RV next to the speedway, you will be able to kickback with fellow fans and take part in a lively community that will be sure to help you out if you are in need of some BBQ utensils or extra trash bags.

Race season is in full force, and Camp USA is here to get you prepped and ready in a luxury RV. Book your RV now for the upcoming Coke Zero 400 at Daytona’s International Speedway, and be sure to look forward to November for the Ford Ecoboost 400 at Homestead’s Miami Speedway.
